Case Study: DS Smith Lift Up

A global soft drinks manufacturer was aiming to improve the recyclability of their packaging by eliminating plastic shrink wrap on their 1.5L bottle multibuys. Using our Circular Design Principles, we developed a 100% recyclable cardboard alternative without compromising product protection, customer experience, or aesthetics.

  • 100% recyclable, and minimum materials used
  • Functional design for an easy to carry, secure solution
  • Surface area allows for clear, unambiguous recyclability signposting

Introduced in Austria in 2023, the solution has reduced the brand’s plastic use by an estimated 200 tonnes each year.
