In line with the company's commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment, this cooperation has contributed to cleaning beaches and raising awareness of the problem posed by the presence of microplastics in the marine environment.

These small fragments come from the degradation of larger fragments or pieces and have a negative impact on the entire marine ecosystem. Through this collaboration, which has materialized in the form of a financial donation, it is estimated that a contribution has been made to the collection of the equivalent of 150 kilos of plastic waste.

In addition, the NGO with which this action has been carried out also works actively in environmental awareness as a basis for changing consciences. As Antonio Cebrián, Commercial Director of DS Smith Tecnicarton, explains, "Our company is firmly committed to environmental protection, sustainability and the circular economy. For us it is a satisfaction to be able to make viable Xaloc's projects to have cleaner marine environments and, above all, to raise public awareness of the risk posed by plastic waste to ecosystems".
