Why choose a returnable plastic container?
Today we will look at a type of returnable packaging that stands out for its versatility and functionality: the returnable plastic container
Reusable packaging is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution to meet packaging needs, especially for firms with large movements of goods between plants. On previous occasions we have outlined its advantages, among which are its minimal environmental impact and its ability to respond to the demands of the goods through customisation.
Returnable plastic containers have seen their demand grow in recent years and their use is increasingly widespread. This packaging allows us to transport large volumes of cargo totally protected thanks to its customised interior. In addition, it can be manufactured in standard sizes or with customised dimensions depending on the customer's needs.
What are the characteristics of returnable plastic containers?
- Customised measurements. These containers are available in standard sizes, compatible with European and American pallets, or can be made to measure for the product to be housed.
- The plastic containers are made of highly resistant polypropylene, which allows for safe and optimised stacking.
- Customised interior. The interior of the container is also customised and made from a variety of materials. The aim is to ensure that the goods are 100% protected and to optimise space, in order to transport the maximum number of pieces per package. The possibilities of interior packaging range from holding cells (rigid or flexible) to foam or conductive interiors.
- Regardless of whether or not they have interior fittings, returnable plastic containers can be designed to be folded. In this way, when the container is empty, the volume it occupies is reduced by 80%.
- In line with our social commitment, at Tecnicarton all plastic containers are largely recyclable and have a long life, thus favouring the circular economy.
- The use of returnable plastic containers means a cost saving for the companies that bet on their use, both in transport and in the processes
