Bulk food is a trend
More and more consumers are looking for stores where they can buy products in bulk.
Much of society is betting on significantly reducing the waste it generates and this trend also affects the food they buy and consume. As our grandparents did, more and more consumers are going out to make the purchase with their baskets, cloth bags and glass bottles so that their pantry is not full of containers (mostly plastic) with a single use.
Whether it is a fashion or a real change of mentality, the truth is that this new way of consuming not only reduces the number of packages, with its consequent benefit to the environment, but also involves a reduction in food waste. The buyer only buys the quantity he wants and should not take a tray or box with more product than he is able to consume and will end up in the garbage.
Many proponents of this trend also point out that this type of consumption improves people's diets, as foods sold in bulk are often unprocessed and seasonal products.
