Group strength and teamwork: our commitment to partnerships and collaborative entities

Membership in associations, clusters and collaborative entities is fundamental to the strategy of any company today. As the saying goes: "You will only arrive sooner, but accompanied you will go further."

Years ago, in DS Smith Tecnicarton we understood that it was necessary to participate in the development of our sector working for him, but also contributing our experience and our know-how. The detection of technological opportunities is another reason to belong to technological institutions  that allow us to maintain our rhythm of innovation and gain in competitiveness.

We are currently a member, with different levels of commitment from AIDIMME, ISTA, ITENE, CIAC, AVIA, CEAGA, Cluster of Innovation of Packaging and Packaging, Packnet, Fundación EDEM and ACICAE; And we have a collaboration agreement with the Universitat Politècnica de València.

Our commitment to each entity is different. For eight years, the CEO of Tecnicarton, Paco Ortega has been the president of the Packaging and Packaging Innovation Cluster. And we have also been members of the board of ITENE.

The participation in the automotive clusters has been active, but in the background, with presence in days and in talks. In many occasions we have been called to tell our experience in innovation, in developing new products or in how we can meet the needs of such a demanding sector.

We are delighted to tell you how we do things to help other companies in their quest for excellence, just as we like to know trends and ways of doing that we can apply to our day to day.

Participation in technological institutes is the answer to our continuous work of finding innovation. We rely on the structure of these innovation centers to be able to undertake new projects that keep us at the forefront of new projects. And also, of course, sharing and learning from others.

Another of our travel companions is the packaging technology platform, Packnet, which allows us to keep abreast of the technological and legislative innovations of our sector. It is an observatory that helps us in the decision making of the management.

And finally, we collaborate with another knowledge forum such as the Universitat Politècnica de València. An institution with which we can count on to incorporate new talents, many of whom stay in the company to start their work life.
