It’s time to showcase your hidden talent!
Get ready to steal the show and entertain your colleagues as we invite two of DS Smith’s most talented acts to take the stage at the Smithies 2023 Awards Ceremony.
So, whether you are a skilled singer, a master magician or just a natural on the dancefloor, we want to hear from you.
All you need to do is record a 60 second video of yourself performing your talent and follow the steps on the link below to enter.
Submission tips:
Before recording
- Plan to keep it short: 30 - 60 seconds
- Find the right location: Background and surroundings should be interesting, but not the main focal point. Try to avoid having a window or bright light behind you.
- Do a test: Do a few sample shots and see what looks good before you choose your final backdrop.
- Don’t forget to save: And make sure the file is no bigger than 100mb otherwise you won’t be able to upload it.
During recording
- Always record in landscape: Shoot the video in landscape or wide mode.
- Sound on: Ensure the volume on your phone is turned up to the max and the sound quality is clear. If you have one, remove the phone case for filming as some cover the microphone.
- Make it stable: Try to stay as steady as possible. Many phones now have stabilisation mechanisms built in but consider mounting it on a tripod or rest it against something solid like a pile of books.
