Five-year sole supplier deal agreed with Mondelez International

We are pleased to announce that we have recently signed our second consecutive five-year contract with Mondelēz International. As one of the world's largest snack companies, Mondelēz International is known for its iconic global and local brands like Oreo, LU, TUC, Belvita biscuits, 7Days baked snacks, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Milka, Cote d'Or, Toblerone chocolate, and Philadelphia cream cheese. Our partnership ensures that we'll be the exclusive supplier of corrugated packaging in Europe for all of these products.

The exclusive partnership is an extension of existing services with a commitment to new projects. It will involve building on an already established relationship over the last ten years.

We will work with Mondelez to deliver bespoke sustainable packaging solutions with a radical joint innovation programme and roadmap.

We are both committed to an approach that focuses on quality, supply chain efficiency, and productivity initiatives and share a key objective of ensuring supply chains remain resilient and products stay on shelves despite unprecedented market conditions.

As part of the partnership, new fibre-based sustainable packaging solutions will be implemented across European markets, and both companies will work together to reduce the use of single-use plastics and collaborate to achieve a target of Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Over the next five years, we will work with Mondelez to design and deliver the most sustainable and economically viable packaging solutions by reducing materials and increasing recyclability across key product lines. We are committed to using our Circular Design Metrics when collaborating with Mondelez to create new packaging solutions that are sustainable. Our approach involves evaluating each new packaging design for factors such as recyclability, material consumption, and supply cycle efficiency, among others. Our Circular Design Metrics (CDM) tool was developed after we launched our Circular Design Principles to help businesses transition to a more circular economy. This innovative tool is the first of its kind in the industry, providing a clear picture of a packaging design's sustainability strengths and weaknesses, and highlighting where improvements can be made.
