The Ellen MacArthur Foundation release their five universal policy goals

The circular economy tackles the root causes of some of the world’s biggest challenges, from climate change to biodiversity loss, pollution and waste. It offers opportunities for better growth, through an economic model that is resilient, distributed, diverse and inclusive.

UCEPG Social Assets_5 Goals.jpgToday the Foundation published its latest paper, in which it sets out five universal circular economy policy goals, aiming to create a common framework in policy development to enable a faster transition to a circular economy.

The Foundation worked with its global network of strategic partners, including DS Smith, to create the five goals:

  • Stimulate design for the circular economy
  • Manage resources to preserve value
  • Make the economics work
  • Invest in innovation, infrastructure, and skills
  • Collaborate for system change
