DS Smith is pleased to announcethat George Adams, a Non-Executive Director of DS Smith PlcsinceJanuary 2008,will becomeChief Executive of Spicers, its Office Products Wholesaling Divisionwith effect from 16 June 2009.
As a result of this appointment, George steppeddown from the DS SmithPlc Boardon 26 May 2009.
George takes over as Chief Executive of Spicers from Rob Vale, whorelinquished this positionin March 2009.
George was, until March 2008,MD European Development and CEOUKTrade for Kingfisher plc. Since then,George hasbeen working throughoutEuropewith a number of privately owned companies.
