We ❤️ Pizza!

DS Smith's Amy Kirchhoff designs a little heart into the humble pizza delivery box.

This Valentine’s Day will be different than in year’s past, given the impact of Covid-19 on virtually every aspect of our economy, especially the food service industry. We might have to wait another year before celebrating a romantic, candlelight dinner with our valentine at a restaurant.

But, here at DS Smith, we’re always thinking of how external forces impact the world of packaging, and so our Design Implementation Manager, Amy Kirchhoff, had a thought, “If it’s a delivery or carryout pizza and Netflix-and-movie kind of Valentines Day, is there still a way to add a little heart to the event?”

And so with her usual creative flair and passion for finding creative uses for corrugated, Amy created a heart-shaped pizza box!

This isn’t just a cute theoretical design Amy came up with – it’s a fully functioning pizza box that is sure to deliver a smile.
